In the heart of northwestern Istria, not far from lively Buzet and charming Buje, the magic of the Seven Waterfalls Trail begins. The most common starting points are the fairytale villages of Kotli and Martinci, gateways to this hidden world of natural wonders.
Like an invisible guide, hiking trail markers and information boards gently direct your steps, making the trail easy to follow, even for those less experienced in wandering nature.
As you tread the path, open your eyes and let the rich flora and fauna of Istria envelop you with their charms. Forests of downy oak, hornbeam, and hop hornbeam weave a green canopy over the path, while playful butterflies and lively birds compete in the beauty of colors and sounds. Here, in the heart of nature, you will feel the pulsating life force and abundance of life.
And then, as a reward at the end of the journey, the village of Kotli – an ethnographic treasure that time seems to have forgotten. Restored old mills and stone houses tell tales of bygone eras, and a local "konoba" invites you to rest and refresh yourself. - 07:45 – Departure, with a journey lasting approximately 65–80 minutes depending on traffic congestion.
- Arrival in Buzet between 08:50 and 09:00.
DETAILED EXPERIENCE ITINERARY
- The experience begins at Vodovod, followed by a walk along the Mirna River.
- The tour of the “7 Waterfalls” trail commences.
- There is an extended pause at the “Vela Peć” waterfall, as a more challenging ascent follows.
- After visiting the last two waterfalls, the group returns to the starting point.

- Organized return to Poreč: approximately 65–80 minutes (depending on traffic conditions).

- Hiking trail: The first part of the hike will be more demanding; therefore, we would like to inform you that the path through the beginning of the trail with seven waterfalls and the remainder of the trail is not constructed as a paved or arranged walkway (e.g., like at Plitvice Lakes).
- NOTE: For your safety, the organizer reserves the right to change the travel plan due to the physical condition of the passengers, weather conditions, or other unforeseen external circumstances.
- The exact departure time cannot be precisely defined due to the variable duration of the experience, which depends on the abilities and fitness of the participating group.
- The experience will last between 4 to 5 hours. A precise itinerary cannot be formed as it depends on the capabilities and fitness of the group.
- Alternative Departure Point: An alternative departure and return point can be arranged (fee between 5€ and 20€)

- Insect protection – Please bring insect repellent to protect yourself from insect bites.
